Criminal Justice Bachelor’s Degree in Bay Minette

11/19/2013

Faulkner State Community College has partnered with Huntingdon College to offer a Criminal Justice transfer opportunity.  Through this program, students can get their bachelor’s degree from Huntingdon College, while staying here in Baldwin County.

Beginning in January 2014, students will be able to work towards a Bachelor’s degree at the Bay Minette campus and will be prepared to enter a growing field, rich with job opportunities.

Tammy Hollenkamp says the program is truly a benefit to Faulkner State.

“Honestly, this program gets students into Faulkner State.  They get to stay at Faulkner in Bay Minette to work on their degree,” Hollenkamp said.  “This program is fast-paced and is geared toward those who want to start their career while working on their degree.”

Designed with the busy student in mind, courses are five weeks long and meet once a week.  Therefore, in one semester, a student can finish multiple courses while only attending one night a week.

“The biggest benefit is the familiarity of the surroundings for the students,” Vinson Bradley, Huntingdon’s Site Coordinator for the Adult Degree Completion Program at Faulkner State, said.  “Students have the ability to role directly into the program, while using the same instructors and already understanding what those instructors expect.  Students can do this while staying here in Bay Minette.”

Applications into the program are now being accepted.  Students wanting more information should contact Vinson Bradley, Bay Minette Site Coordinator, at 251-580-4908.
