Mr. Terrell Patrick and Miss Mackenzie Tobin have been crowned Faulkner State’s 2014 Homecoming Queen and King.
Tobin of Houston, Texas is the daughter of Beryl and Larry Tobin.
She is a graduate of Barbers Hill High School (TX) and is pursuing a
career in elementary education. Tobin is a member of the Lady Sun Chief
Tennis Team, and she serves as a Senator for the Student Government Association
and Small Group Leader for Fusion Campus Ministries. Tobin hopes to
transfer to the University of West Georgia or Auburn University after
Patrick is the son of Bernard and Connecyt Jenkins, and Rodney
Young. He is a graduate of Mary G. Montgomery High School and is
majoring in criminal justice. Patrick serves as Student Government
Association Secretary, is a member of the Pi Psi Chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society, the Resident Housing Association, the Elated Voices
of Triumph Gospel Choir, the Inter-Club Council and is a theater
scholarship recipient. Patrick hopes to transfer to Troy University,
attend law school and aspires to be an attorney.
Both Tobin and Patrick plan to walk in Faulkner State’s Graduation on May 9.
The 2014 Sophomore Court in addition to Tobin and Patrick are:
Shuntavia Harris, Jasmine Philyaw, Kristyanne Kiner-Galish, Claire
Milligan, Chelsea Watson, Keyonna Wilder, Cole Glass, Zachary Brown,
Jalen Mims, Van Williams, Victor Castro and Shafer Martin.
The 2014 Freshmen court are: Deidre Mitchell, Brooklyn Lynch, Natalie
Rapp, Ambria Reed, Christina Kidd, Sandria Lambert, Tyler Huff, Caleb
Lopes, Alex Roberson, Chris Brown and Stephen Cunningham.
Faulkner State’s Student Government Association
holds elections annually for officers, senators and Homecoming
positions. Freshmen and sophomores are eligible for election to the
Guidelines for Homecoming Court
2015 Homecoming Court Application
A male and female Homecoming Court are selected by popular vote on an
annual basis by the student body. Each court consists of six Freshmen
Attendants, six Sophomore Attendants, and a Sophomore Queen and King.
The sophomore male and female receiving the most votes will be crowned
Homecoming King and Queen. The Monarchs and the Courts reign during the
homecoming basketball game and festivities.
- An application must be submitted to the SGA Office by the posted deadline.
- Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better.
- Freshman applicants must have earned a minimum of 12 semester credit hours at Faulkner State.
- Sophomore applicants must have earned a minimum of 32 semester credit hours at Faulkner State.
- All students running for the Homecoming Court must clear campaign signs through the SGA Office or the Dean of Student Services.
