Accelerated High School Students
Take a "step ahead" to advance your college career while still in high school! (This program is available to qualified high school students who are enrolled in private schools, home schools, and public schools.) At Faulkner State Community College you can take that step by enrolling in our Accelerated High School Student Program. This program allows you to receive college credit for courses taken at one of the three Faulkner State campuses (Bay Minette, Fairhope, or Gulf Shores) of Faulkner State while you are still in high school. Academic courses are transferable to other colleges or universities. Eligible high school students can take any college course for which they meet the prerequisites. (For example, students who want to take English Composition II - ENG 102 must have taken English Composition I - ENG 101 first.) Many high school students have already enrolled and found the program beneficial to getting a head start on college.
Dual Enrollment
Faulkner State Community College provides college credit opportunities to eligible high school students through the State Board of Education, Policy 801.03, Dual Enrollment/Dual Credit for High School Students. This policy allows eligible high school students to enroll in college classes concurrently with high school classes, and to receive both high school and college credit where appropriate.* This program is available only to qualified students who are enrolled in the Baldwin County public school system.
Early College Enrollment Program (ECEP)
Through the Early College Enrollment Program (ECEP), qualified high school juniors and seniors earn college credits while completing high school. ECEP students must declare a technical/occupational program of study. ECEP is a program designed to increase the number of skilled workers in the Alabama labor force.* This program is only available to qualified students who are enrolled in the Baldwin County public school system.
