What is Adult Education?

Faulkner State Community College’s Adult Education Program provides adults with an opportunity to learn the skills necessary to function more effectively in our changing society.

The Adult Education Program provides the books and all instructional materials at no cost to the student.

The Adult Education Program teaches using the prescriptive method which enables the participant to be taught based on what he or she as an individual needs academically.

Adult Education Services

GED (General Education Development) Preparation

The FSCC Adult Education Program offers free GED Preparation classes. The materials and books are provided at no charge to the student.

  • Students who successfully complete the GED are entitled to enroll in one course at Faulkner State or any Alabama College System free of charge.

GED Online & Distance Learning

Adult High School Diploma

Students may enroll in the Adult High School Diploma Program and complete a high school diploma. To qualify, the student must be 18 years of age, needing no more than five credits, and must pass all parts of the high school graduation exam before receiving the high school diploma.
